Flower Power Decor's New Blog Page!

Took a little time, but it's finally here! Flower Power Decor has a blog page!

It's been a very busy season thus far. I've been very lucky this year to have worked with so many wonderful couples. Fun, colorful, and expressive flowers have been the big trend. I've been visiting many beautiful venues here in Rochester and the Finger Lakes including wineries with breathtaking views, and stunning historical churches.

This year Flower Power Decor received some prestigious awards including "Bride's Choice Award" from WeddingWire.com and "Best of" and "Best Vendor" by OneWed.com. I've been asked to create bouquets for bridal photography shoots for Rochester Wedding Magazine, of which a couple have made covers. Just recently, one of my bouquets made the special "color pallet" section for WellWed Magazine that just hit the shelves. Also keep an eye out for the the film "After" by Girl's Gotta Eat Entertainment where Flower Power Decor makes a its floral debut!

I'll be displaying some of my work at couple big bridal shows that are coming up. The first for Rochester Wedding Magazine at The Radisson Riverside Hotel on September 26th. I'll also be co-hosting the bridal show at the Eagle Vale Country Club on October 24th. I'm very excited about doing my first show for WellWed Magazine at the Memorial Art Gallery on January 22nd. I'm very happy to be working alongside Rochester's newest up and coming event planner, Lisa Murley of Limedrop Events.

This year, I'm proud to have been asked to join a collaborative of very talented and creative wedding professional at Studio 180, and now share an amazing studio space with them at 180 St. Paul Blvd.  The group includes 5 very talented photographers including, Tressa Ross, John Larkin, Chelse Thompson, Mike Hanlon, & Paul Mattison. Event planner Lisa Murley and myself are it's newest members and we're still growing. Our goal is to work together to make the wedding industry a better one, by using our talents and knowledge to educate and bring new ideas to brides. We'll be inviting brides and venues to join us for workshops and open houses starting this fall. We're also proud to be part of Rochester's Landmark Society's "Inside Downtown 2010" tour that takes place on September 24th & 25th.

Be sure to come back and visit Flower Power Decor's blog for updates on trends, wedding couples, and goings on. Also, be sure to visit my Facebook page for more updates and pictures of my latest wedding designs.
